Have you guys ever felt that way? You have a great idea but no matter how hard you try to make it in real life, it never quite meets your expectations. Ira Glass calls this “The Gap”, and Seth Godin calls it “The Dip”. It’s a real thing, and I think it’s important to remember, otherwise we risk quitting too early because it was “not meant to be,” when really, we were exactly where we needed to be. Constantly putting in the work to close that gap every day so that one day, the cool that we envision in our heads is really as cool as we want it to be in real life.
